WP0 will oversee the coordination among partners for all project activities, including overall project management, organizing meetings, and handling both internal and external communication, as well as agreements. It will also encompass data management, including storage, sharing, presentation, and distribution. The primary deliverables will include a communication and dissemination plan, a data management plan, and the development of the Web Platform. WP0 milestone (M0) will consist in a final report on the dissemination and use of the DATASET index.

WP1 will oversee the creation of a GIS-based database and the collection of data. All parameters affecting agricultural leaching (AGL) in the soil and vadose zone, along with those influencing salinization process (SP), will be identified through a rigorous systematic review. WP1 will focus on selecting and modifying DATASET parameters, which will be used to develop a classification rate leading to a DATASET model equation. WP1 milestone (M1) will involve the implementation of the model and database.

WP2 will oversee the selection and development of AI algorithms for spatial analysis to optimize the spatial correlation between parameters and water quality, and to establish the different rates and weights for SP and AGL, as well as their combined assessment. WP2 will produce a conceptual model for the pilot sites, followed by model calibration and validation. The results from each application will be used to refine ratings and weights, by averaging the outcomes across all study sites, and to evaluate uncertainties. WP2 milestone (M2) will include the creation of a user manual and tutorials for the model.

WP3 will oversee the creation of the GIS plug-in. A free GIS tool will be created and made available online, enabling easy replication of the DATASET application. This tool will allow users to select and retrieve parameters from the 'Open Data repository' and will offer the capability to automate the assessment process. Various scenarios of groundwater recharge and land use change will be evaluated in the pilot sites to identify the optimal solutions for conserving groundwater quality in coastal plains. WP3 milestone (M3) will provide the full operation of the DATASET index via the web platform.
